The Dallas Wings just couldn’t stand not having a Princeton Tiger on their roster. On Monday night, the Texan WNBA franchise selected Abby Meyers ’22 — a former star Princeton guard who played this past season at Maryland — with the 11th overall selection in this year’s WNBA Draft. The selection comes after Bella Alarie ’20, a former Wings player selected with the fifth overall pick in the draft three years ago, retired earlier this year.

Midnight strikes on men's basketball's Cinderella run in 86-75 loss to Creighton

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — With under a minute left in Friday night’s Sweet 16 matchup, men’s basketball senior guard Ryan Langborg banked in a deep three-pointer from the top of the key, to raucous applause from the swaths of orange gathered in the KFC Yum! Center. For Langborg, who has often been the hero of this year’s March Madness run, the shot gave him a career-high of 26 points.

The matchup is the first-ever between a six-seed and a 15-seed in the NCAA Tournament The men’s basketball team is in uncharted territory. For the first time in the modern NCAA Tournament history — the period since the tournament field was expanded to 64 teams in 1985 — the Tigers (23–8, 10–4) are in the Sweet 16, thanks to two upset wins over Arizona and Missouri last weekend in the tournament’s first two rounds.
