Gaurav Tiwari’s Biography

WordPress engineer, technical SEO architect, and designer from Delhi and, Kushinagar, India. Founder of Gatilab, a digital marketing agency growing 104% year over year. I write at gauravtiwari.org.

I've worked with 800+ clients across 2,000+ projects. The list includes the Government of India (Ministry of Agriculture), IBM, Adobe, HubSpot, Canva, Monday.com, IATA, FreshBooks, and a long tail of agencies, SaaS companies, and publishers. Project budgets have ranged from $35 quick fixes to $46K enterprise builds.

My WordPress plugins run on 7,500+ active sites. I'm a WordPress Core Contributor. Current builds include Core Forms, Functionalities, Docanban, GT ACF Blocks, and GT Extensions for FluentCart.

Sites I run or power: Camerographer, Overeview, and Googiehost, among others. Earlier work includes OnlyLoudest (acquired by YouStable) and content marketing for PieSync (acquired by HubSpot).

Timeline

I started blogging in December 2008 on Blogspot. Self-hosted WordPress in February 2009. Bought my first commercial domain in 2011. Earned my first dollar from writing in 2012.

Three years to that first dollar. The reason? No guide. I was writing study notes for myself, not content for an audience. Made plenty of mistakes, fixed some, kept making others.

Learning never stops. I'm still learning. New bloggers today have proper guidance, so the road shouldn't take three years anymore.

What I Do

I build WordPress sites, plugins, and themes. I design conversion-focused interfaces. I write tutorials, reviews, and analysis at gauravtiwari.org, where 1,800+ articles have pulled in 248M+ impressions over 16+ years.

The stack I keep coming back to: GeneratePress, GenerateBlocks Pro, FlyingPress, Rank Math, Hetzner with CloudPanel, Redis, MariaDB, Cloudflare. It's boring. It works. I stopped chasing new tools years ago.

I also run The Friday Drop, a weekly newsletter on WordPress, SEO, AI, and tools. No filler. No regurgitated press releases.
