Why did you become a journalist?
Because being a music journalist is like always having homework about a topic that you love & I can't picture a better job for me than that.
What's your favorite drink?
Water. Drink more water.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
The Athletic, Vulture, Pitchfork (begrudgingly)
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That we're all failed musicians or snobs.
