Cultivating medical humanistic literacy through immersive case-based practical teaching in undergraduate pathophysiology education
Abstract Objectives: Building on the pathophysiology curriculum, this study aims to explore a novel model for medical humanities education empowered by digital and intelligent technologies. It addresses critical issues, including the lack of humanities-oriented learning contexts and effective pathways for cultivating humanities competence in traditional medical education.

“Imitative”click chemistry to form a sticking xerogel for portable therapy of bacterial-infected wounds
“Imitative”click chemistry to form a sticking xerogel for portable therapy of bacterial-infected wounds Bo Huang, Xiangmei Liu, Lei Tan, Zhenduo Cui, Xianjin Yang, Doudou Jing, Dong Zheng, Zhaoyang Li, Yanqin Liang, Shengli Zhu, Kelvin Yeung, Xianbao Wang, Yufeng Zheng and Shuilin Wu Abstract Xerogels usually possess stable structure and have a low swelling rate due to their inferior dynamics.
Enhancing the Antibacterial Efficacy of Low-Dose Gentamicin with 5 Minutes Assistance of Photothermy at 50 oC
Enhancing the Antibacterial Efficacy of Low-Dose Gentamicin with 5 Minutes Assistance of Photothermy at 50 oC Mengxue Ma, Xiangmei Liu, Lei Tan, Zhenduo Cui, Xianjin Yang, Yanqin Liang, Zhaoyang Li, Yufeng Zheng, Kelvin Yeung and Shuilin Wu Abstract Implant materials are prone to bacterial infections and cause serious consequences, while traditional antibiotic therapy has a long treatment cycle and even causes bacterial resistance.
Construction of Perfluorohexane/IR780@Liposome Coating on Ti for Rapid Bacteria Killing under Permeable Near Infrared Light
Near infrared (NIR) light induced photodynamic antibacterial therapy (PDAT) is a promising antibacterial technique in rapid in-situ disinfection for bacterial infected artificial implants due to its penetration ability for tissues. However, the lower oxygen content in vivo may restrict the yields of reactive oxygen species (ROS), thus reducing the antibacterial efficacy of PADT significantly.
Noninvasive Rapid Bacteria-Killing and Acceleration of Wound Healing through Photothermal/Photodynamic/Copper Ions Synergistic Action of a Hybrid hydrogel
Bacterial infection often delays healing of wounded tissues and so it is essential to improve the antibacterial efficiency in situ. In this work, a hybrid hydrogel composed of 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate (MPS, 97%) and mesoporous silica (mSiO2) modified CuS nanoparticles (NPs) is synthesized by radical polymerization.
Ag/AgBr Loaded Mesoporous Silica for Rapid Sterilization and Promotion of Wound Healing
Bacterial infection is a major concern during wound healing. Herein, Ag/AgBr loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticles (Ag/AgBr/MSNs) are designed and prepared to harvest visible light for rapid sterilization and accelerated wound healing. The Ag/AgBr nanostructure has excellent photocatalytic ability and electron−hole pairs generated by light absorption enhance the antibacterial properties by producing reactive oxygen species (ROS).
