EP300 inhibition alleviates acute-on-chronic liver failure through modulation of scar-associated macrophages
Abstract Acute-on-chronic liver failure is a severe syndrome with high short-term mortality, and current treatments are limited to liver transplantation and supportive care. Here we show that EP300 inhibition alleviates acute-on-chronic liver failure by targeting scar-associated macrophages, a subset that proliferates during disease progression and whose impaired antibacterial function is linked to poor prognosis.

DNA methylation and proteomic profiling of postmortem brain tissue reveals epigenetic dysregulation and inflammatory signaling in fragile X-associated tremor/ataxia syndrome
Abstract Background: Fragile X-associated tremor/ataxia syndrome (FXTAS) is a late-onset neurodegenerative disorder caused by a CGG repeat expansion in the premutation range of FMR1. The epigenetic landscape of the FXTAS brain remains largely uncharacterized. We performed genome-wide DNA methylation profiling of postmortem prefrontal cortex and targeted proteomic profiling to investigate molecular alterations associated with FXTAS and evaluate convergence on inflammatory signaling.

Our understanding of how non-productive HIV infections are established in primary human CD4+ T cells during the first round of infection is still incomplete. In this study, we leverage the HIV reporter virus pMorpheus-V5 to delineate cellular expression patterns upregulated in non-productively infected stem cell memory (TSCM) CD4+ T cells.
Pathway-priming of intermediate phases in FACs-based wide-bandgap perovskites for Si tandem solar cells
Abstract Wide-bandgap (WBG) perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have emerged as promising candidates for tandem applications, despite potential instability induced by halogen components. Formamidinium-cesium (FACs)-based perovskites represent as an intrinsically stable WBG system due to their low bromine-to-lead ratio and the absence of thermally unstable methylammonium. However, the performance of FACs-based WBG perovskites is highly dependent on achieving precise control over the formation dynamics.
Functional characterization of urine-derived stem cells from acute-on-chronic liver failure patients in an immune-mediated acute liver injury model
Abstract Introduction: Acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) is a highly lethal clinical syndrome with limited effective therapeutic options. Urine-derived stem cells (USCs) represent a non-invasive and readily accessible cell source, but whether USCs obtained from patients with severe liver dysfunction retain therapeutic and immunomodulatory potential remains unclear.

Cherenkov in 1934,[1] is an electromagnetic radiation phenomenon wherein photons are emitted by a charged particle traveling faster than the phase velocity of light in a transparent medium. Cherenkov radiation is highly directional, forming a characteristic conical emission pattern aligned with the particle trajectory.
Cleavage of Bcl-2-associated athanogene by metacaspase determines plant antiviral immunity - Nature Communications
Abstract Nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat receptors (NLRs) function as core components of innate immunity in both plants and animals. In animals, NLR activation initiates caspase-mediated immune signaling. In contrast, plants lack caspases but instead contain metacaspases (MCAs/MCs), yet their role in antiviral immunity and whether they interface with NLR signaling remain largely unexplored.
