Artificial intelligence in spinal fracture imaging: from clinical application to translational promise
Abstract Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping medical imaging, and deep learning together with machine learning are now being used to detect, classify, and differentially diagnose spinal fractures. In this Review, we survey the principal AI architectures that currently support spinal imaging, including convolutional neural networks, object detectors, and hybrid models, and we assess their reported performance for osteoporotic, traumatic, and pathological vertebral fractures.
Auditory-inspired cross-attention learning of spectral and modulation signatures for ship recognition
Abstract Underwater ship recognition is fundamentally challenged by acoustic complexity and limited labeled data. This paper proposes a physics-driven multidimensional feature fusion (MDFF) framework via auditory-inspired cross-attention learning. Rather than relying on isolated acoustic features or simple shallow concatenation, the method integrates bio-inspired Gammatone filtering with both LOFAR (structural line-spectra) and DEMON (propeller modulation) representations.
Acute neuromuscular and metabolic responses to complex training with blood flow restriction: effects of arterial occlusion pressure on post-activation performance enhancement
Abstract Purpose: This study examined the acute effects of complex training (CT) with blood flow restriction (BFR) on countermovement jump (CMJ) performance, lower-limb muscle activation, and blood lactate (BLa) concentration in trained male collegiate athletes. It also aimed to identify the arterial occlusion pressure (AOP) level and recovery time window that produced the most favorable post-activation performance enhancement (PAPE) response.
A multicohort, biomarker-driven phase 2 trial of personalized total neoadjuvant therapy with targeted agents for high-risk rectal cancer (The TRAINER study)
|
Abstract This multicohort, single-center, phase II trial explored the efficacy and safety of a biomarker-driven total neoadjuvant therapy (TNT) regimen in high-risk locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) patients. The regimen included induction chemotherapy (4 cycles of mFOLFOX6) with targeted agents (bevacizumab for cohort B and cetuximab for cohort C), followed by short-course radiotherapy (25 Gy/5Fx) and consolidation chemotherapy (2 cycles of mFOLFOX6, with cetuximab in cohort C).

PIGU expression is associated with poor prognosis and estimated immune cell infiltration in breast invasive carcinoma
Abstract Breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA) is a major cause of cancer-related mortality in women. PIGU, a subunit of the GPI-anchor biosynthesis complex, has been reported to be dysregulated in several cancers; however, its prognostic value and immune-related associations in BRCA remain unclear. We analyzed TCGA and GEO datasets to evaluate PIGU expression and its prognostic significance and association with immune infiltration patterns.
The predictive value of the TAPSE/PASP ratio for major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with chronic heart failure: evidence from a prolonged follow-up cohort
Abstract Background The tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion to pulmonary artery systolic pressure (TAPSE/PASP) ratio is a noninvasive surrogate of right ventricular–pulmonary arterial coupling. Previous evidence focused mainly on in-hospital, 90-day, or 1-year outcomes; long-term prognostic value across heart failure phenotypes remains unclear. Methods This cohort included 440 chronic heart failure patients admitted between 2019 and 2021.

Computer-use agents, which leverage multimodal large language models (MLLMs) to operate computers and complete tasks, have attracted significant attention for their utility and versatility. A major challenge in developing these agents is collecting large-scale, high-quality trajectories. The standard approach generates synthetic data through a self-improving loop: an agent is placed in a verifiable environment and iteratively fine-tuned on its successful trajectories.
A Biomimetic Single-Atom Nanozyme With a Substrate Pocket for Accurate and Continuous Sweat Glucose Monitoring
1 Introduction Continuous glucose monitoring systems represent a transformative advancement in diabetes management, offering non-invasive, real-time tracking of blood glucose levels [1-3]. The majority of these systems rely on natural glucose oxidase (GOx) as a specific recognition unit [4-7].

Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system (CNS), which is relatively common in the elderly population and is the main cause of senile dementia. Its typical pathological features mainly lie in hyperphosphorylated tau proteins in the form of neurofibrillary tangles (referred to as tau tangles) and β-amyloid plaques.

A geospatial dataset of PPCPs occurrence in aquatic environments across China over the past two decades
Abstract Pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) are increasingly recognized as persistent and bioaccumulative contaminants in aquatic environments. To enhance understanding of their spatial distribution and prevalence across China, we have developed a comprehensive geospatial database containing 8,128 records of 250 PPCPs from 385 sampling sites nationwide.
StrucGAP: a modular, streamlined and traceable data mining platform for structural and site-specific glycoproteomics
Abstract The rapidly developing search engines for glycopeptide identification and accumulated high-resolution glycoproteomic data underscore the need for robust downstream data mining platforms towards subsequently functional and mechanistic studies. Here, we introduce StrucGAP, a Structural Glycoproteomics Analysis Platform for scalable downstream data mining of site-specific N-glycoproteomics.
Depression comorbidity in children and adolescents with type 2 diabetes mellitus: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Depression is a frequent psychological comorbidity among youth with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), yet reported prevalence rates vary widely across studies. This meta-analysis aimed to estimate the pooled prevalence of depression and explore sources of heterogeneity. Methods: This meta-analysis is registered with PROSPERO (CRD420251126166). We systematically searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, and PsycINFO from inception to October 24, 2025.

The impact of vehicle lane-changing on the speed and delay of vehicles in the target lane based on the GMM-HMM - Scientific Reports
Abstract Lane-changing maneuvers are pervasive in urban traffic scenarios, significantly impacting the operational dynamics of vehicles in the target lane, particularly under conditions of high traffic density (0.80 ≤ V/C ≤ 0.90). This study employs a Gaussian Mixture Model Hidden Markov Model (GMM-HMM) to quantitatively analyze the influence of lead vehicle lane-changes on the speed and delay of subsequent vehicles in the target lane.

Immiscible alloys as high-capacity and ultra-stable anodes for sodium-ion batteries
Immiscible alloys as high-capacity and ultra-stable anodes for sodium-ion batteries Alloy-type anodes are considered promising candidates in sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) due to their high theoretical capacities, low discharge plateaus, and abundant resources. However, the significant volume changes during discharging/charging result in particle pulverization and ongoing electrolyte consumption, leading to increased interfacial impedance and degrading electrochemical performance.
