An improved YOLOv8 framework fused with attention mechanism and gold-YOLO neck for abnormal driving behavior detection in automobiles
Abstract Vision-based detection of abnormal driving behaviors has become essential in the automated-vehicle era, playing a critical role in safeguarding vehicle occupants. By identifying unsafe actions early, this approach has demonstrated significant improvements in driving safety, accident reduction, and traffic condition management. However, existing research has primarily concentrated on facial expression recognition, overlooking a comprehensive analysis of overall driver postures.
Structured MOAKS-based MRI features for predicting medial joint space narrowing progression: a comparative osteoarthritis initiative study
Abstract Background: Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a major cause of pain and disability, yet baseline radiographic severity grading provides only modest prediction of structural progression. We evaluated whether structured MRI-derived MOAKS features improve prediction of full-grade medial joint space narrowing (JSN) progression, and whether deep multimodal fusion adds value beyond structured feature models.
Identification of traumatic intracerebral hemorrhage associated metabolites using untargeted metabolomics
Abstract: Traumatic intracerebral hemorrhage (TICH) is a severe neurological emergency whose metabolic mechanisms remain largely unresolved. This study used serum metabolomics analysis to compare the metabolic profiles of TICH patients (n = 10) with non-TICH controls (n = 10). LC-MS/MS analysis identified a total of 3183 metabolites.

Addressing critical challenges towards a robust data system for life cycle assessment - Nature Reviews Clean Technology
Abstract Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a method that evaluates the environmental impact of products, technologies or services across their life cycles. LCA data record the inputs and outputs of products and processes over their lifespan. However, owing to inconsistent methodologies and limited compatibility across tools and formats, LCA data face challenges related to quality and interoperability. In this Review, we discuss approaches for LCA data harmonization.

Inefficient ventilation systems can contribute to hazardous situations, such as gas accumulation, oxygen deficiency, and poor air quality, all of which are major contributors to mining accidents [].
A NiSe layer enhanced the efficiency of hole-conductor-free MAPbI3 perovskite solar cells
A NiSe layer enhanced the efficiency of hole-conductor-free MAPbI3 perovskite solar cells Interfacial defects between the perovskite layer and the adjacent charge transport layer play a crucial role in enhancing the power conversion efficiency (PCE) and stability of organic–inorganic halide perovskite solar cells. In this study, we employed a transition metal-containing selenide (NiSe) to modify the interface between the electron transport layer and the perovskite layer.

The Spermine Oxidase/Spermine Axis Coordinates ATG5‐Mediated Autophagy to Orchestrate Renal Senescence and Fibrosis
1 Introduction The prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is gradually increasing worldwide, and CKD may become the fifth leading cause of death in the world by 2040.[1, 2] Despite the different etiologies, renal fibrosis, characterized by tubular atrophy, myofibroblast activation, and extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition, is the final manifestation of CKD.[3] The decline in renal function accompanied by fibrotic pathological changes could be induced by many factors, among which...

Thermo-Economic Analysis and Multi-Objective Optimization of a Novel Power Generation System for LNG-Fueled Ships
1. Introduction Due to its low cost and high efficiency, marine transportation has become the predominant mode of cargo transportation in global trade. However, these advantages also bring about a series of environmental issues, particularly the extensive emission of NOx and SOx from oceangoing vessels during their voyages. In light of this, liquefied natural gas (LNG) has emerged in recent years as the fuel of choice for shipowners due to its environmentally friendly attributes [1].

Model-Free Adaptive Positioning Control of the Bidirectional Stick-Slip Piezoelectric Actuator with Coupled Asymmetric Flexure-Hinge Mechanisms
1. Introduction Piezoelectric stick–slip actuators (PSSAs) are composed of a piezoelectric stack, amplification unit, and motion unit. Since they can realize large strokes and high-precision nanometer movements [1,2], they have become the heart of high-precision driving equipment such as scanning electron microscopes [3] and other devices used in biomedicine [4].

Polyglycerol‐Amine Covered Nanosheets Target Cell‐Free DNA to Attenuate Acute Kidney Injury
Biodistribution and Kidney-Targeting Efficacy of M-PGA-M M-PGA-M is expected to accumulate via the EPR effect, thereby alleviating LPS-induced kidney damage by scavenging cfDNA and disturbing NET formation (Figure 4A). To assess the distribution and accumulation of cationic M-PGA-M in the kidneys of LPS-induced AKI mice, the nanosheets were labeled with hydrophilic Cy5 (Figure 4B).

1 INTRODUCTION Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common chronic gynecologic condition and a complex endocrine disorder affecting 8%–13% of women of reproductive age.1 Women with PCOS are at a high risk of metabolic and endocrinologic disorders, including anovulatory infertility, insulin resistance, obesity, and metabolic syndrome.1 Recent studies have revealed the association between PCOS and specific thyroid diseases, such as autoimmune thyroiditis and nodular goiter.2 The reported...
Nitrite-Mediated Photooxidation of Vanillin in the Atmospheric Aqueous Phase
Nitrite (NO2–) and its conjugate acid, nitrous acid (HNO2), have long been recognized as a ubiquitous atmospheric pollutant as well as an important photochemical source of hydroxyl radicals (·OH) and reactive nitrogen species (·NO, ·NO2, ·N2O3, etc.) in both the gas phase and aqueous phase.
An Ultrasensitive Flow Cytometric Immunoassay Based on Bead Surface-Initiated Template-Free DNA Extension
Proteins lack the duplication mechanism like nucleic acids, so the connection of immunoassay with effective nucleic acid amplification techniques has become a powerful way for the detection of trace protein biomarkers in biological fluids. However, such immunoassays generally suffer from rather stringent DNA sequence design and complicated operations.
