Age-dependent associations of peripheral immune-inflammatory indices with cerebrovascular remodeling after revascularization in ischemic moyamoya disease
Abstract Objective: Peripheral immune-inflammatory activity may influence postoperative vascular remodeling in Moyamoya disease (MMD), but the relevant pathways may differ by developmental stage. We investigated age-dependent associations of blood cell-derived inflammatory indices with two complementary imaging outcomes: collateralization angiogenesis ratio (CAR) and arterial residual volume (ARV).
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate hydrogen oxidase 2 exacerbates abdominal aortic aneurysm formation by inducing oxidative stress through autophagy inhibition
Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) has high mortality and enhanced oxidative stress; autophagy inhibition accelerates its formation. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate hydrogen (NADPH) oxidase 2 (NOX2) is responsible for generating reactive oxygen species (ROS). The aim is to clarify the mechanism of NOX2-mediated autophagy in AAA. Subcutaneous angiotensin II (AngII) infusion in ApoE-/- mice with a high-fat diet was performed to construct an AAA animal model.
LncRNA SCARNA8 promotes atherosclerotic plaque instability by inhibiting macrophage efferocytosis
ABSTRACT In recent years, findings suggest that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are closely related to the development of atherosclerosis (AS), but there is a lack of studies on the involvement of lncRNA-regulated cytosolic burial in the regulation of AS. In this study, we investigated the mechanism by which lncRNA SCARNA8 affects macrophage cell burial to regulate AS. The cytosolic burial-associated target gene regulated by lncRNA SCARNA8 was PPARG.
