Machine learning‐based model for worsening heart failure risk in Chinese chronic heart failure patients
1 Introduction Heart failure (HF) is the end stage of a wide range of cardiovascular diseases and is characterized by variable lengths of time for symptoms to stabilize. Despite continuous treatment, the condition worsens repeatedly throughout the disease.1 Worsening HF (WHF) has been proposed as a specific stage during HF.
Colloidal photonic crystals towards biological applications
Colloidal photonic crystals towards biological applications Colloidal photonic crystals (CPCs), fabricated from the assembly of micro-/nano-particles, have attracted considerable interest due to their unique properties, such as structural color, slow-photon effect, and high specific surface area (SSA).
Photoacoustic Imaging‐Guided Self‐Adaptive Hyperthermia Supramolecular Cascade Nano‐Reactor for Diabetic Periodontal Bone Regeneration
1 Introduction Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by chronic hyperglycemia and chronic inflammation that typically involves immune tolerance breakdown, local inflammation, and tissue destruction, gradually leading to systemic chronic disorders and disability.[1] According to the International Diabetes Federation, the number of diabetes patients worldwide has reached 540 million in 2022.[2] Diabetes-related complications, such as renal, neurological, and cardiovascular...

Long-Term Outcomes and Potential Risk Factors for Endovascular Repair of Aortic Pseudoaneurysms in Vascular Behçet’s Disease
This study aimed to analyse long-term outcomes and risk factors for endovascular repair of aortic pseudoaneurysms in patients with vascular Behçet’s disease (BD). Medical records of 26 aortic vascular BD patients who underwent endovascular treatment at the vascular department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital between January 2002 and December 2021 were retrospectively reviewed. Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C-reactive protein were used to assess BD activity.

New layered chromium chalcogenides CsLiCrSe2, RbLiCrS2 and CsLiCrS2: structure and properties
New layered chromium chalcogenides CsLiCrSe2, RbLiCrS2 and CsLiCrS2: structure and properties We report the synthesis, crystal structure and physical properties of three quaternary compounds CsLiCrSe2, RbLiCrS2 and CsLiCrS2, which represent the first discovered ThCr2Si2-type chromium chalcogenides. They all share the same structure with space group I4/mmm and Cr/Li mixed occupation without ordering.
Three-Dimensional Printing of a Complex Aortic Anomaly
Congenital aortic anomalies comprise a rare spectrum of cardiovascular diseases, which often show complex aortic anomalies. Medical imaging, such as CT and MR, are required to elucidate complex aortic arch anomalies, the abnormal branching pattern, their relationship with the trachea and the esophagus, and other associated pathologies. Both CT and MR angiography can provide 2-D information of aortic vessel locations.
