1 Introduction Multivariate semicontinuous data occur frequently in agricultural, environmental, insurance and medical studies (Johnson and Wichern 2007; Shi et al. 2016; Xue et al. 2022). Semicontinuous data usually refer to zero-inflated continuous data where there is a positive probability mass at zero in addition to positive continuous values.

1 Introduction Multiple health outcomes of mixed types have long been routinely collected over patients in health insurance studies (Alfò and Giordani [1]; Kutner et al. [2]; Xue et al. [3]). As these health outcomes of mixed types tend to be correlated, joint modeling of these health outcomes of mixed types allows separate as well as overall assessment of covariates effects and improve efficiency of estimating covariates effects.
