1 Introduction Methotrexate is 4-amino-N10-methylpteroylglutamic acid, with a structure highly similar to that of folic acid, and it exerts its effects by competitively binding to specific targets (Urbančič et al., 2025). It serves as a cornerstone agent in the treatment of various autoimmune diseases and hematologic malignancies (Tezgin et al., 2024).
