Introduction This report delineates the diagnostic and therapeutic course of a patient with liver cirrhosis secondary to kappa-light chain multiple myeloma (κ-LCMM), whose initial presentation was dominated by gastrointestinal manifestations. Upon admission, the patient was found to have cirrhosis of unknown etiology.

Letter: Spirit of the holiday season is missing

Could the people in the marketing departments give me back my holiday spirit? I would be grateful if they could. I am dismayed to see Halloween decorations sold in stores in August when I am still in short sleeves. It’s depressing to see Christmas ornaments filling the shelves by October when I have yet to enjoy a proper Halloween. As someone not experienced in business strategies, I find myself disheartened as my holiday spirit seems to diminish year after year.
