Ru nanoparticle-loaded amorphous CoMoP as an efficient electrocatalyst for alkaline water/seawater hydrogen evolution
Ru nanoparticle-loaded amorphous CoMoP as an efficient electrocatalyst for alkaline water/seawater hydrogen evolution† A low-cost carrier is developed and the size of Ru nanoparticles is reduced to enhance the performance of Ru catalysts used in the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). In this study, a nanorod array catalyst was synthesized by combining ruthenium (Ru) with amorphous cobalt–molybdenum–phosphorus (CoMoP/NF).
Pyridine-borane complex catalysed thioesterification: the direct conversion of carboxylic acids to thioesters
Pyridine-borane complex catalysed thioesterification: the direct conversion of carboxylic acids to thioesters Thioesters are a common class of biologically active fragments, and synthetically useful building blocks. An attractive synthetic approach would be to use simple and bench-stable carboxylic acids as a coupling partner. Herein, we present a 4-bromo pyridine-borane complex as a catalyst for direct coupling of carboxylic acids with thiols.
