Ultrafast energy transfer across Pd/MXene interface via hot phonon-electron interactions
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCUSSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share Abstract The interfacial structure and energy transfer (ET) in heterostructures have attracted tremendous attention for their growing importance in thermal management, catalysis, and optoelectronic applications.
Quantum state-to-state reaction dynamics of F + HD → HF + D via a single partial wave shape resonance state
Abstract Understanding how reactions proceed through the transition state is central to chemistry, but isolating quantum resonance effects is challenging, especially above the reaction barrier where direct pathways usually dominate. Here we show that a single partial wave shape resonance, temporary trapping of the reacting partners behind an angular‑momentum barrier, can control the reaction F(2P3/2) + HD(v = 0, j = 0) → HF + D at a collision energy of 2.90 kcal mol−1.
Quantum interference between direct and indirect reaction paths in the photodissociation of HOD - Nature Chemistry
Abstract The wave-like nature of quantum particles enables interference effects that can influence the outcomes of chemical reactions; however, most have been observed to occur from two spatially distinct reaction pathways, analogous to Young’s double-slit experiment. Here we report detailed experiments on HOD photodissociation that reveal excitation-wavelength-dependent variations in the rotational state distribution of OD(X) product fragments.
Superradiant terahertz free-electron laser driven by electron microbunch trains - Light: Science & Applications
Abstract Superradiance, an enhanced radiation phenomenon stemming from the phase synchronization of emitters, features a radiation intensity proportional to the number of emitters squared. The pursuit of superradiance from free electrons has long been a goal for generating intense radiation across a broad spectrum, from terahertz (THz) to the X-ray regime. However, achieving superradiance in the THz spectral range has been hindered by the lack of effective microbunching techniques.
State-correlated reaction dynamics unveiled in full from a single product-image measurement - Nature Communications
Abstract Electron- or photoionization mass spectrometry coupled with product time-of-flight measurement is a universal detection scheme, which has been playing pivotal role in advancing our fundamental understanding of chemical reactions. This powerful detection scheme, however, usually does not provide the product state-specific information.

Five new non-holostane di- and trisulfated triterpene pentaosides, conicospermiumosides A 3 -1 ( 1 ), A 3 -2 ( 2 ), A 3 -3 ( 3 ), A 7 -1 ( 4 ), and A 7 -2 ( 5 ) were isolated from the Far Eastern sea cucumber Cucumaria conicospermium Levin et Stepanov (Cucumariidae, Dendrochirotida). Twelve known glycosides found earlier in other Cucumaria species were also obtained and identified.

Pressure-triggered intense natural white emission via controllable distortions of antimony chloride dimers
Introduction Zero-dimensional (0D) hybrid metal halides (HMHs) have aroused extensive attentions in both experimental researches and device developments, owing to their unique photoluminescence (PL) feature of self-trapped exciton (STE) emission [1]. The complex generation and relaxation processes of STEs result in the outstanding emission properties with large Stokes shifts and broad emission line widths.
Spiers Memorial Lecture: New Directions in Molecular Scattering
Spiers Memorial Lecture: New Directions in Molecular Scattering The field of Molecular Scattering is reviewed as it pertains to gas-gas as well as gas-surface chemical reaction dynamics. We emphasize the importance of collaboration of experiment and theory, from which new directions of research are being pursued on increasingly complex problems. We review both experimental and theoretical advances that provide the modern tool box available to molecular scattering studies.

Water-participated mild oxidation of ethane to acetaldehyde - Nature Communications
Abstract The direct conversion of low alkane such as ethane into high-value-added chemicals has remained a great challenge since the development of natural gas utilization. Herein, we achieve an efficient one-step conversion of ethane to C2 oxygenates on a Rh1/AC-SNI catalyst under a mild condition, which delivers a turnover frequency as high as 158.5 h−1.
