1 Introduction The Global Cancer Statistics 2022 estimated 224,012 new cases of esophageal cancer and 187,467 related deaths in China, accounting for 43.84% and 42.13% of the global numbers, respectively. Esophageal cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related deaths in China [1]. About 90% of esophageal cancer patients are diagnosed with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), a dominant histological subtype [2, 3]. ESCC has a prognosis closely related to its stage.

3. Deposit Geology The Nanmingshui gold deposit is located in the eastern segment of the KGB (Figure 1C), several kilometers south of the Qingshui–Sujiquan fault. The exposed lithologies in the mining district are lower-grade metamorphic rocks of the Jiangbasitao Formation that are intensely sheared and foliated, including tuffs, tuffaceous sandstone, basalt, and basaltic andesite (Figure 2).
