3D Culture Reverses Limbal Niche Cell Replicative Aging via FOSL1 Upregulation
1 Introduction The transparency of the cornea and good visual function depend on a healthy reservoir of limbal epithelial stem cells (LESCs), a cell population also known as limbal stem cells (LSCs) (Bonnet et al. 2021). Deficiency or dysfunction of LESCs disrupts the regeneration of the corneal epithelium, leading to limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD).
Navigating regional zero-carbon steel pathways in China by aligning spatial resource constraints with facility heterogeneity
Abstract China’s iron and steel sector is pivotal to global industrial decarbonization, yet near-zero transition pathways under heterogeneous regional resource endowments remain poorly understood. Here we develop a plant-resolved, spatially explicit framework that integrates a facility-level emission database, a cost-minimizing technology model and geospatial resource matching.
Policy synergies outweigh trade-offs for NH 3 and N 2 O co-control in China
Abstract Controlling agricultural ammonia (NH3) and nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions is vital for air quality and climate goals, yet policy synergies and trade-offs in mitigating these reactive nitrogen (Nr) remain unclear. Here, through an integrated framework combining high-resolution emission inventories with policy-specific scenario analysis, we evaluate China’s national agricultural policies for abating Nr emissions (2000–2022) and estimate synergies between NH3 and N2O abatements.
