4. Discussion In this study, configural and measurement invariance between mothers and fathers and across three postpartum time points were observed using only three MIBS-J items. This solves the problem of loss of validity due to repeated use observed in previous studies and clinical situations where the MIBS-J was used [12,13,14]. Moreover, to our knowledge, this is the first study in Japan to also include postpartum fathers.
