CLEC4G deficiency aggravates cholestatic liver fibrosis through impaired angiocrine signaling
Abstract CLEC4G is a C-type lectin receptor predominantly expressed in liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs), with its expression markedly downregulated in cirrhotic livers. However, its specific role in cholestatic liver injury and fibrosis remains largely unexplored. Here we show that CLEC4G expression is reduced in cholestatic livers from children with biliary atresia (BA) and in bile duct ligation (BDL) -treated mice.

Living growth of ultra-bright 2D perovskites with long-lived carriers
Abstract Growth-induced defects and strain in two-dimensional (2D) perovskites severely limit carrier transport and suppress radiative efficiency, thereby sacrificing the carrier lifetime and obscuring the advantages from quantum confinement. Here, we report a near-equilibrium isothermal (NEIT) growth paradigm of 2D perovskite single crystals that exhibits living growth characteristics analogous to living polymerization.
Quadruple Bonding of Alkaline Earth Atoms in AeCLi 4 (Ae = Be − Ba) Complexes
1 Introduction The bond order, which is indicated by the number of bonding electron pairs between two atoms, is one of the fundamental concepts in chemistry. The aufbau principle for chemical bonding between two main-group atoms, which use their valence s and p orbitals for the formation of chemical bonds following the octet rule, suggests that the highest possible bond order is three.
Coherent 2D–3D van der Waals perovskite epitaxial heterostructures
Abstract Precise control and a clear understanding of the interfaces between 2D and 3D perovskites remain limited by structural disorder, interfacial defects and poorly defined growth pathways. Here we report a strategy for coherent van der Waals cross-dimensional epitaxy, in which 3D MASnI3 (MA: methylammonium) single crystals are grown directly on 2D (3T)2SnI4 (3T: tri-thiophenylethylammonium) templates.
African swine fever virus B66L drives extracellular mitochondrial release to promote systemic inflammation in mice
Abstract Systemic inflammation is a hallmark of viral infection, but the upstream signals that initiate it remain poorly defined. Here we show that extracellular mitochondria act as inflammatory mediators during infection by vesicular stomatitis virus, influenza A virus, rabies virus, herpes simplex virus 1 and African swine fever virus (ASFV).
Attenuation of Experimental Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia by Dimethyl Fumarate
Abstract Innovative therapies for bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in neonates are needed. Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) is a methyl ester of fumaric acid that is an approved drug. The goal was to explore the role of DMF in BPD utilizing a hyperoxia-induced murine model of experimental BPD. In our mouse model of experimental moderate-BPD, DMF was administered on postnatal (PN) days 2 and 4. On PN14, we evaluated lung histology, lung morphometry, and used Western blotting.

A cylindrical projection lithography-fabricated flexible on-catheter in situ integrated sensor for continuous in-artery blood pressure monitoring
Abstract Continuous and accurate blood pressure monitoring is vital for the diagnosis and management of life-threatening cardiovascular diseases. Conventional fluid-filled catheter systems are fundamentally constrained by distortion, infection risks, and limited portability. In parallel, Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) sensors assembled to catheters face miniaturization bottlenecks and packaging complexity.

Enhanced electrical performance of perovskite solar cells via strain engineering Strain plays a pivotal role in determining the electronic properties and overall performance of perovskite solar cells. Here, we identify that the conventional crystallization process induces strain heterogeneity along the vertical direction within perovskite films due to the fast solvent evaporation at the gas-liquid interface, leading to a gradual crystallization from top to bottom.
Trajectories of Maternal Urinary Iodine Concentration Are Associated With Gestational Diabetes Mellitus
The relationship between iodine status and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is inconclusive. This study aimed to explore the trajectories of urinary iodine concentrations (UIC) in pregnant women before GDM diagnosis and to assess the associations between maternal UIC trajectories and the risk of developing GDM. A prospective cohort study was conducted in China. Data from 1076 pregnant women who were recruited between August 2019 and December 2021 were analyzed.

Digital Literacy and the Livelihood Resilience of Livestock Farmers: Empirical Evidence from the Old Revolutionary Base Areas in Northwest China
1. Introduction Livestock farming is a pillar industry of the agricultural economy and an important component of the national economy. Livestock products and services play a significant role for humanity [1]. Globally, the livestock sector occupies about 26% of ice-free land, with one-third of its arable land dedicated to the production of feed.
Photo-excited carrier behaviors of two-dimensional tin halide perovskite single crystals
Highlights • (PEA)2MAn−1SnnI3n+1 (n = 1–4) with tunable quantum-well thickness are synthesized • Lattice distortion and tilting are strongly corelated with the n value • Excitons remain the dominant photo-excited carriers in 2D tin halide perovskites Summary Two-dimensional (2D) tin halide perovskites have attracted significant interest due to their exceptional optoelectronic properties, high carrier mobility, and low toxicity.
Amplifying the Mechanical Resilience of Chemically Cross-Linked Poly(vinyl alcohol) Films with the Addition of Boric Acid
Mechanical behavior of the cross-linked polymer system is modulated by various cross-linkings, i.e., chemical and physical cross-linking. The poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)–boric acid (BA) cross-linking system is known to exhibit cross-linking-induced stiffening behavior. In this study, the step-cycle mechanical tests reveal that the addition of BA not only enhances the chain modulus but also amplifies the mechanical resilience within a BA concentration range of 0.1–2.0 wt %.
