Free-Standing MrGO/S Film with Suppressive Shuttle Effect for High-Performance Flexible Lithium-Sulfur Batteries

Lithium-sulfur (Li–S) batteries have high expectations for large-scale applications in energy devices because of their high theoretical capacity and low cost. However, due to the insulation and shuttling effect, the low load mass and continuous capacity fading remain as two substantial obstacles for the practical use of Li–S batteries. Herein, a free-standing macroscopic nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide film (MrGO) is fabricated for acting as the S host (MrGO/S).
