Hippocampal contributions to reading processes
Abstract The cortical substrates of typical reading have been extensively investigated. However, the functional contributions of subcortical regions to reading remain poorly understood and are largely absent from current neuroanatomical models. In the present fMRI study, we analyzed three datasets to test whether specific hippocampal subregions (head, body, and tail) contribute to reading through distinct patterns of activation and functional connectivity.
Tumor Intrinsic METTL5 Modulates ATF4 Translation to Prevent T Cell‐Induced Ferroptosis in Ovarian Cancer
1 Introduction Despite recent achievements in immune checkpoint blockade (ICB), only 5–15% of patients with ovarian cancer (OC) respond to single-agent ICB treatment in part due to immunosuppressive mechanisms exploited by tumor cells and cancer-educated stromal cells.[1-3] This highlights an urgent need to identify OC-associated immune evasion mechanisms and develop novel strategies to overcome primary resistance to immunotherapy in patients with OC.

"Single-Cell CRISPR Immune Screens Reveal Immunological Roles of Tumor " by Jiakai Hou, Shaoheng Liang et al.
Genetic screens are widely exploited to develop novel therapeutic approaches for cancer treatment. With recent advances in single-cell technology, single-cell CRISPR screen (scCRISPR) platforms provide opportunities for target validation and mechanistic studies in a high-throughput manner. Here, we aim to establish scCRISPR platforms which are suitable for immune-related screens involving multiple cell types.
Multiomics Analyses Reveal DARS1-AS1/YBX1-Controlled Posttranscriptional Circuits Promoting Glioblastoma Tumorigenesis/Radioresistance
The glioblastoma (GBM) stem cell-like cells (GSCs) are critical for tumorigenesis/therapeutic resistance of GBM. Mounting evidence supports tumor-promoting function of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), but their role in GSCs remains poorly understood.

Integrated multi-omics analyses identify anti-viral host factors and pathways controlling SARS-CoV-2 infection - Nature Communications
Abstract Host anti-viral factors are essential for controlling SARS-CoV-2 infection but remain largely unknown due to the biases of previous large-scale studies toward pro-viral host factors. To fill in this knowledge gap, we perform a genome-wide CRISPR dropout screen and integrate analyses of the multi-omics data of the CRISPR screen, genome-wide association studies, single-cell RNA-Seq, and host-virus proteins or protein/RNA interactome.
CRISPR–Cas9-based functional interrogation of unconventional translatome reveals human cancer dependency on cryptic non-canonical open reading frames - Nature Structural & Molecular Biology
Abstract Emerging evidence suggests that cryptic translation beyond the annotated translatome produces proteins with developmental or physiological functions. However, functions of cryptic non-canonical open reading frames (ORFs) in cancer remain largely unknown.
Simple but novel icariin-loaded pro-glycymicelles as functional food: physicochemical characteristics, in vitro biological activities, and in vivo experimental hyperlipidemic prevention evaluations
Simple but novel icariin-loaded pro-glycymicelles as functional food: physicochemical characteristics, in vitro biological activities, and in vivo experimental hyperlipidemic prevention evaluations A novel functional food for hyperlipidemia named icariin (ICA) pro-glycymicelles (ICA-PG) using glycyrrhizin as phytonanomaterials was easily fabricated with great storage, pH, and salt stabilities.
CRISPR/Cas9 screen uncovers functional translation of cryptic lncRNA-encoded open reading frames in human cancer
Abstract Emerging evidence suggests that cryptic translation within long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) may produce novel proteins with important developmental/physiological functions. However, the role of this cryptic translation in complex diseases (e.g., cancer) remains elusive.

A simple but novel glycymicelles ophthalmic solution based on two approved drugs empagliflozin and glycyrrhizin: in-vitro/in-vivo experimental evaluation for the treatment of corneal alkali burn Zongjian Sun, Mingxin Zhang, Yanjun Wei, Mengshuang Li, Xianggen Wu and Meng Xin Abstract A simple but novel ophthalmic solution based on two approved drugs was developed to reposition existing drugs to treat new diseases.
Refined Division Features Based on Transformer for Semantic Image Segmentation
Transformer can build global relationships between pixels and enhance pixel representation. The existing methods only establish the context relationship from the whole image but will reduce the representation between the category areas. In addition, the existing methods based on the transformer self-attention do not combine the advantages of convolution and transformer, resulting in more calculation parameters of the model.
