Natural-language prompting builds and operates an open-source software workflow for virtual drug-discovery
Abstract Virtual docking and free-energy calculations can accelerate drug discovery, but practical use requires structural chemistry expertise, complex parameter selection and software integration. Here we show that iterative dialogue with an artificial intelligence (AI) coding assistant, OpenAI Codex, can guide a non-specialist scientist to build and operate a scripted, auditable computational workflow without direct coding.
Advances in the application of gene methylation detection in cervical cancer screening
Abstract Cervical cancer remains a leading malignancy among women globally, with its pathogenesis strongly associated with persistent high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. Despite the widespread adoption of HPV testing in cervical cancer screening, its suboptimal specificity frequently results in overdiagnosis and overtreatment.
Decoding the metabolic landscape of Parkinson’s disease: dansylated urinary amines and phenols submetabolomes for signature profiling and biomarker discovery
Abstract Parkinson’s disease (PD) lacks reliable non-invasive early diagnostic biomarkers with strong discriminative capacity, representing a major unmet clinical demand. We developed a dansylation workflow coupled to trapped ion mobility spectrometry–quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (TIMS-Q-TOF-MS) for targeted profiling of the urinary amine–phenol submetabolome.

Global patterns and drivers of extinction risk in island endemic terrestrial vertebrates
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCCUSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share Abstract Island endemic terrestrial vertebrates, shaped by long-term isolation and ecological specialization, are particularly vulnerable to extinction pressure in the Anthropocene. However, cross-taxon extinction patterns and their drivers remain poorly understood.
A Global Synthesis of Multidimensional Nested Patterns and Its Conservation Implications for Insular Amphibians
1 Introduction The nested subset pattern (nestedness), where species in low-diversity sites form proper subsets of those in richer sites (Wright et al. 1998), is a research focus in the fields of island biogeography and conservation biology in recent decades (Patterson 1987; Ganzhorn and Eisenbeiß 2001; Whittaker and Fernández-Palacios 2007).
Histone H3K18 Lactylation Promotes the Malignant Progression of Wilms Tumor via a PSRC1/AKT/HIF-1α Positive Feedback Loop
1 Introduction Nephroblastoma, also known as Wilms tumor (WT), is the most prevalent pediatric renal malignancy [1]. While over 90% of pediatric patients are diagnosed with favorable-histology Wilms tumor (FHWT), the conventional treatment regimens yield variable therapeutic outcomes across different FHWT patient cohorts.

Targeting HAS2 to enhance anti-tumor immunity in pancreatic cancer via PD-L1 regulation
Abstract Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive malignancy with poor prognosis and limited treatment options. Recent advances in immunotherapy have shown potential for improving outcomes; however, therapeutic resistance remains a challenge. We demonstrate that HAS2 is significantly upregulated in pancreatic cancer, and is associated with poor prognosis, reduced infiltration of CD4⁺ and CD8⁺ T cells, and shorter survival.

Pilaralisib inhibits the replication of enteroviruses by targeting the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway - Virology Journal
A total of 1,200 small-molecule compounds were screened based on a cell-based cytopathic effect (CPE) assay. This analysis led to the identification of a small molecule, Pilaralisib (Fig. 1A), which was found to be an inhibitor of the PI3K/AKT signal pathway. This inhibitor was found to significantly inhibit the CPE induced by EV71 infection (Fig. 1B).

Research on CO2 Quasi-Dry Fracturing Technology and Reservoir CO2 Distribution Pattern
1. Introduction Tight sandstone reservoirs have poor physical properties and high clay mineral content, and conventional hydraulic fracturing is prone to cause water sensitivity and hydro-locking, affecting production enhancement [1]. Liquid CO2 has technical advantages over hydraulic fracturing, such as low injury, cleanliness, and environmental protection [2,3].

1. Introduction Coal remains a vital component of global energy systems, playing a significant role in ensuring energy security and driving industrial progress. However, with the depletion of shallow coal resources and increasing mining depths, coal and gas outburst accidents have become critical challenges that threaten the normal operation of mines [1,2]. As of 2019, over 878 coal and gas outburst incidents were reported across 22 underground coal mines in Australia [3].

How Do Species Traits and Biogeographical Factors Determine the Fate of Amphibians After Long‐Term Fragmentation?
1 Introduction Global species populations are increasingly segregated into habitat fragments due to anthropogenic or natural patchiness, and the preservation of species populations has become a major focus of conservation biology (Becker et al. 2007; Betts et al. 2019). Nevertheless, not all species are equally extirpated by habitat patchiness, as some species decline or disappear while others remain relatively safe and widespread (Henle et al. 2004; Keinath et al. 2017).
