USP7 overexpression prevents the progression of clear cell renal cell carcinoma by enhancing pyroptosis via TRIP12 deubiquitination
ABSTRACT Ubiquitin-specific protease 7 (USP7) involves in various human cancers due to its capacity for binding and stabilizing specific target proteins through deubiquitylation, but its roles in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) development remains unknown. This study aimed to determine the role of USP7 in the pyroptosis mechanism in ccRCC, thereby providing novel anti-ccRCC strategies.
Persistent Na+ current couples seizure with spreading depolarization in Scn8a gain of function mice
Abstract Spreading depolarization (SD) is a slowly propagating wave of massive cellular depolarization that transiently impairs the function of affected brain regions. While SD typically arises as an isolated hemispheric event, we previously reported that reducing M-type potassium current (IKM) by ablation of Kcnq2 in forebrain excitatory neurons results in tightly coupled spontaneous bilateral seizure-SD complexes in the awake mouse cortex.

Oxytocin alleviated colitis and colitis-associated colorectal tumorigenesis by targeting fucosylated MUC2
Abstract Colon cancer is commonly regarded as hormone-independent. However, there have been reports suggesting the involvement of sex hormones in colon cancer development. Nevertheless, the role of hormones from the hypothalamus-hypophysis axis in colitis-associated colorectal cancer (CAC) remains uncertain. In this study, we observed a significant reduction in the expression of the oxytocin receptor (OXTR) in colon samples from both colitis and CAC patients.
A hyperthermic seizure unleashes a surge of spreading depolarizations in Scn1a-deficient mice
Abstract Spreading depolarization (SD) is a massive wave of cellular depolarization that slowly migrates across the brain gray matter. Cortical SD is frequently generated following brain injury, while less is understood about its potential contribution to genetic disorders of hyperexcitability, such as SCN1A-deficient epilepsy, in which febrile seizure often contributes to disease initiation.

Dispersal of Amur tiger from spatial distribution and genetics within the eastern Changbai mountain of China
Abstract Population dispersal and migration often indicate an expanded habitat and reduced inbreeding probability, and to some extend reflects improvement in the condition of the population. The Amur tiger population in the northern region of the Changbai mountain in China mostly distributes along the Sino–Russian border, next to the population in southwest Primorye in Russia.
