Multidimensional Management of Degenerative Scoliosis: A Comprehensive Narrative Review Integrating Diagnostic Assessment, Surgical Decision-Making, and Patient-Centered Outcomes
1 Introduction Degenerative scoliosis (DS), a prevalent spinal deformity in aging populations, is a significant yet underrecognized contributor to low back pain (LBP) and disability worldwide [1]. Unlike adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, DS arises from age-related asymmetric degeneration of the intervertebral disks and facet joints, resulting in progressive spinal imbalance, rotatory subluxation, and neurological compromise [2-5].
Single-atom-engineered perovskite enables near-theoretical-rate hydroxyl radical electrogeneration
Abstract Electrochemical advanced oxidation that directly activates O2 through the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) to generate hydroxyl radicals (•OH) offers a sustainable strategy for degrading persistent organic pollutants. However, prevailing approaches typically rely on a stepwise process involving the 2e⁻ ORR to produce H2O2 followed by 1e⁻ activation. High barriers associated with intermediate desorption and inter-site transfer consequently limit the •OH yield.
Multi-layered RNA decay mechanisms underlie subgenome-biased homoeologous mRNA stability in salt-stressed allopolyploid plants
INTRODUCTION Soil salinization is an increasingly critical environmental factor that limits crop productivity worldwide (Song & Liu, 2017). It adversely affects seed germination, seedling establishment, and overall plant growth by disrupting ionic balance, inducing osmotic stress, and generating oxidative damage (Kumar et al., 2013; van Zelm et al., 2020; Zhou et al., 2024).

However, the connection between tourists’ rurality perceptions and their entrepreneurial behavior is still underexplored.
Anterior Controllable Antedisplacement Fusion (ACAF) in Revision Surgery for Iatrogenic Cervical Kyphosis: Technical Note and Case Series
1 Introduction Iatrogenic cervical kyphosis (ICK) refers to the cervical kyphosis deformity caused by medical interventions, a condition frequently encountered in clinical practice, especially following multilevel laminectomy procedures where its incidence is notably elevated. Studies report that ICK occurs in 21% of adults and varies widely from 37% to 100% in children following multisegmental laminectomy [1].

Age Is a Key Factor Influencing the Choice of Treatment for Primary Patellar Dislocation: A Systematic Review and Meta‐analysis
Introduction Primary (first-time) patellar dislocation refers to a clinical phenomenon characterized by the initial occurrence of patellar displacement, predominantly attributed to a traumatic event leading to the disruption of the previously unaffected medial peripatellar anatomical components.1-3 Its prevalence ranges from 5.8 to 77.8 per 100,000, with a particularly high occurrence among young individuals.4, 5 Appropriate therapeutic intervention is crucial to mitigate adverse outcomes,...
Anchored Cobalt Nanoparticles on Layered Perovskites for Rapid Peroxymonosulfate Activation in Antibiotic Degradation
In the Fenton-like reaction, revealing the dynamic evolution of the active sites is crucial to achieve the activity improvement and stability of the catalyst. This study reports a perovskite oxide in which atomic (Co0) in-situ embedded exsolution occurs during the high-temperature phase transition. This unique anchoring strategy significantly improves the Co3+/Co2+ cycling efficiency at the interface and inhibits metal leaching during peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation.
Chlorine-Induced Surface Reconstruction of Perovskite Oxide Boosts Oxygen Evolution Reaction Activity
Chlorine-doped perovskite oxides were synthesized as efficient electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in an alkaline medium. The introduction of chloride ions into the perovskite lattice via doping increased oxygen vacancies and altered the cobalt valence state in PrBa0.5Sr0.5Co1.5Fe0.5O5+δ (PBSCF).

Sustainability | Free Full-Text | Spatial and Temporal Heterogeneity of Rural Habitat Level Evolution and Its Influencing Factors-A Case Study of Rural Villages in Nature a Reserve of China
3.1. Spatial and Temporal Evolution Characteristics of Rural Habitat in Qilian Mountains National Park According to the evaluation system of the rural habitat environment in the Qilian Mountains, the comprehensive score is calculated by the ArcGIS10.8 natural breakpoint method. The evaluation results were divided into four categories: low region, medium–low region, medium–high region and high region. The distribution and evolution characteristics of each functional area are analyzed.
