Evidence of time-reversal symmetry breaking above the charge density wave order in a kagome metal
Abstract Spontaneous symmetry breaking in kagome metals remains highly debated, especially with respect to the presence of time-reversal symmetry breaking and the temperature range over which it develops. A loop-current order, characterized by complex phases in intersite hopping, has been proposed as the mechanism responsible for the breaking of time-reversal symmetry, although it has not yet been confirmed experimentally.
Enhanced Superconductivity near the Pressure-Tuned Quantum Critical Point of Charge-Density-Wave Order in Cu1-δTe (δ = 0.016)
Submitted: 25 September 2025 Posted: 26 September 2025 You are already at the latest version We have investigated the evolution of CDW states and structural phases in a Cu-deficient Cu1-δTe (δ=0.016) by employing high pressure experiments and first-principles calculations.
Enhanced superconductivity near a pressure-induced quantum critical point of strongly coupled charge density wave order in 2H-Pd0.05TaSe2 - NPG Asia Materials
Abstract Interplay between charge density wave (CDW) order and superconductivity (SC) in quasi-two-dimensional materials remains poorly understood due to their diverse experimental varieties. Here, we investigate the pressure-dependent electrical transport and Raman scattering spectra of 2H-Pd0.05TaSe2, which exhibits a CDW transition at TCDW = 115 K and a superconducting transition at Tc = 2.6 K at ambient pressure conditions.
Coupling Between Electrons and Charge Density Wave Fluctuation and its Possible Role in Superconductivity
1 Introduction It is widely documented that superconductivity emerges near the quantum critical point (QCP) of symmetry-broken phases.[1-9] This competing behavior, or the presence of a competing order, has led to notable speculation that quantum fluctuations of the order could play a role in superconductivity formation, thereby pairing electrons into Cooper pairs.
