ABSTRACT In 1984/85, the resettlement program of Ethiopia relocated farmers to the Beles River Basin, but unsustainable agricultural practices have since led to declining productivity and sedimentation of reservoir. To guide sustainable land management (SLM), this study assessed the impact of three land uses - cultivated land (CL), grazing land (GL), and zero grazing land (ZG) on runoof, soil and nutrient losses and carbon stock.
