Prescribing Patterns of SGLT2 Inhibitors and GLP‐1 Receptor Agonists in Patients With T2DM and ASCVD in South Korea

Between 2015 and 2020, the use of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 receptor agonists increased among Korean patients with type 2 diabetes and ASCVD, but overall prescription rates remained low, with only 11.7% receiving either agent by 2020. Prescribing patterns were significantly influenced by patient characteristics such as age and comorbidities (e.g., CKD, heart failure), as well as by concurrent use of other antidiabetic medications.
