What does it mean to be a journalist?

It means being an informant. A historian. A guide and a watchdog.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Camera. <3 My first love. Recorder, lights, lavaliers, osmo pocket, and phone. Excel. Adobe Photoshop, Audition, Premiere, and Illustrator.

Why did you become a journalist?

To pay forward the gift of information. To give back to my communities by uplifting their narratives and seeking accountability.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Take what you need and leave what you can. Share knowledge. Our actions have a ripple effect - no matter how small.

What's your favorite drink?

Tea <3

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Taking pictures. Riding my bike. Feeding the cat. :)
