Association of CTI and its obesity-related derivatives with incident depression among middle-aged and older adults across CKM stages 0-4: a nationwide prospective cohort study and external clinical validation
Abstract Background: Cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) syndrome integrates metabolic, renal, and cardiovascular risks. While C-reactive protein-triglycerides-glucose (CTI)-related indices are associated with future depression risk, their link to incident depression in populations across CKM stages 0–4 remains unestablished. Methods: This prospective cohort included 3,130 depression-free participants across CKM stages 0–4 from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study.
Generalizable CT-free PET attenuation and scatter correction via few-shot cross domain adaptation
Abstract The rapid advancements in PET technology, coupled with the need for accurate and efficient imaging, necessitate the development of robust and generalizable methods for CT-free attenuation and scatter correction (ASC). Deep learning offers a promising solution, but exhibits limited performance when tested in diverse clinical settings and varying imaging conditions.

Telomere to Telomere Genome Assembly and Efficient Transformation and Genome Editing in Populus euphratica
Populus euphratica Oliv. is a key desert tree, blocking sand, stabilizing dunes, ameliorating microclimates, and providing wildlife habitats, vital for ecological stability. In addition, its outstanding drought, cold, and salinity tolerance, and features like heterophylly, make it valuable for studying plant adaptation and growth. However, incompatibility of hybridization, poor rooting, and limited genetic research platforms hinder conservation and utilisation.
Bimodal regulation and precision therapy of neutrophil extracellular traps in liver ischemia-reperfusion injury: recent advances
Abstract Liver transplantation is the definitive therapy for end-stage liver disease, yet hepatic ischemia–reperfusion injury (HIRI) remains a leading cause of early graft dysfunction. Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) can support host defense, but dysregulated NET formation during HIRI amplifies sterile inflammation, endothelial injury, and microvascular thrombosis—making NETs an attractive, pharmacologically tractable target.

From life cycle assessment to grass‐based agriculture: A review and application
INTRODUCTION The advancement of grass-based agriculture plays a pivotal role in restoring grassland ecosystem integrity and enhancing pasture management sustainability (Zhang, Huang, et al., 2023). Grass-based agriculture refers to a sustainable agricultural system that maximizes the utilization of natural grasslands and forage resources to supply high-quality meat and dairy products while mitigating competition for arable land (Shortall & Lorenzo-Arribas, 2022; Wang, Jin, et al., 2021).
Bioengineered poplar fibres via PagGLR2.8 editing: A synergistic design for high‐performance biocomposites
Introduction The advancement of social civilisation and science and technology has prompted an increasing demand for new materials in industry, particularly those that possess superior strength and durability for engineering applications. The excellent properties and fascinating features of high-performance composites make them attractive for aviation, aerospace, wind turbines, transportation, and other advanced industries (Parameswaranpillai et al., 2023; Zhang et al., 2020).

The mechanism of action of indole-3-propionic acid on bone metabolism
The mechanism of action of indole-3-propionic acid on bone metabolism Indole-3-propionic acid (IPA), a metabolite produced by gut microbiota through tryptophan metabolism, has recently been identified as playing a pivotal role in bone metabolism. IPA promotes osteoblast differentiation by upregulating mitochondrial transcription factor A (Tfam), contributing to increased bone density and supporting bone repair.

Abecedarian For My Younger Self
Another day of sun. Flowers blooming under a clear blue sky like children’s eyes. Dazzling the little toddler on the swing. Easy peasy lemon squeezy she sings. Heart full of warmth and gratification, grinning under the clear blue heaven. If life is a river of memories, would it take me in the direction I want to go. Or would I become jaded from my journey, and kneel by the riverbed listening to yesterday’s favorite songs. I sing along.

Clinical and Imaging Characteristics of Contrast-enhanced Mammography and MRI to Distinguish Microinvasive Carcinoma from Ductal Carcinoma In situ
Rationale and Objectives The prognosis of ductal carcinoma in situ with microinvasion (DCISM) is more similar to that of small invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) than to pure ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). It is particularly important to accurately distinguish between DCISM and DCIS.

Enhancing thermal conductivity, electrical insulation, and mechanical strength of polydimethylsiloxane composites with sandwich structure
In this paper, boron nitride(BN)/carbon nanotube(CNT)/boron nitride(BN) (BCB) film of sandwich structure is prepared by vacuum-assisted filtration (VAF). Compared to the thermal conductivity (λ) of boron nitrides(BNs)-cellulose nanocrystals(CNCs) (BC) film, the λ of sandwich structured BCB films with same thickness (The preparation process consists of one layer of BC and one layer of CNTs-CNCs (CC) until the completion of three layers of filtration) has been significantly improved.
Ore Rock Fragmentation Calculation Based on Multi-Modal Fusion of Point Clouds and Images
1. Introduction Ore rocks are the main focus of excavation by intelligent electric mining shovels and are formed after blasting in the mine. However, the size of the resulting ore rock fragments can vary due to factors such as the burst point distribution and ore properties, as shown in Figure 1. The collision of the shovel bucket with large chunks of ore can cause equipment damage, such as shovel tip fractures, and even lead to hazardous incidents, like landslides.

Surmounting Byproduct Inhibition in an Intermolecular Catalytic Asymmetric Alkene Bromoesterification Reaction as Revealed by Kinetic Profiling
Kinetic profiling has shown that a (DHQD)2PHAL-catalyzed intermolecular asymmetric alkene bromoesterification reaction is inhibited by primary amides, imides, hydantoins, and secondary cyclic amides, which are byproducts of common stoichiometric bromenium ion sources. Two approaches to resolving the inhibition are presented, enabling the (DHQD)2PHAL loading to be dropped from 10 to 1 mol % while maintaining high bromoester conversions in 8 h or less.

Letter: the relationship between Helicobacter pylori and coronary heart disease
EDITORS, We read with interest the recent study by Mirjana Rajilic‐Stojanovic1 et al reporting gastric microbiota in health and disease. They concluded that Helicobacter pylori (HP) is the single most important risk factor for stomach disease but they did not refer to HP's association with coronary heart disease (CHD). A major risk factor for CHD is dyslipidaemia. Considerable research has been reported on the relationship between HP and blood lipids.
