Visual-affective decoding enhances neurofunctional objective and generalizable signatures in unseen adolescent depression diagnosis
Abstract Adolescent major depressive disorder is a highly prevalent and debilitating condition, yet objective and generalizable neurofunctional signatures remain elusive. Existing neuroimaging approaches largely rely on resting-state fMRI, or controlled tasks often lack ecological validity and generalizable signatures of depression-related neural dysfunctions.
The proteome of Middle Pleistocene Xujiayao and common Denisovan morphology
Abstract The taxonomy and phylogeny of late Middle Pleistocene hominins in East Asia remain highly debated1. Xujiayao, a key representative assemblage with many fossils and a clear stratigraphy dating to around 199–138 thousand years ago, has been extensively studied, but its evolutionary position remains uncertain. Here, to clarify this, we analysed Xujiayao material through both palaeoproteomic analysis and morphological comparisons with other East Asian late Middle Pleistocene archaic Homo.

Population-based annual incidence has been reported to be approximately 39–45 cases per million population in Japan, 25–31 in France, and 9.9 in the United Kingdom (Lee et al. 2023).
The Missing Temporal Link: Temporal Context Routing for Script-Driven Audio-Video Generation
Published on Sep 2 · Submitted by Yi Chen Liu on Sep 4 Abstract Temporal Context Routing improves script-aligned timing of shots and dialogue in joint audio-video generation by mapping structured script timing onto shared video-audio temporal axes. Joint audio-video generation models have made substantial progress in visual quality and audio-visual synchronization. However, they still provide limited control over when shot transitions occur and dialogue is spoken.

Endoplasmic reticulum stress and the unfolded protein response in lung diseases: molecular pathways and therapeutic interventions
Introduction Endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) constitutes a pivotal cellular defense mechanism that is initiated when the protein-folding capacity of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is exceeded by various physiological and pathological insults – such as oxidative stress, calcium dysregulation, or nutrient deprivation. Upon accumulation of unfolded or misfolded proteins beyond a critical threshold, the unfolded protein response (UPR) is triggered.
Separation Characteristics and Parameters Optimization of Cyclone for Mixed Particles
1 Introduction The mixing of coarse and fine particles is a common status in material handling of process engineering. For example, during pneumatic conveying, dust can be generated due to the collisions between particles and the wall. Fine particles, having large difference in particle size from the raw pellets, can adhere to the surface of the pellets.
