Lycium barbarum polysaccharides modulate SOCS-1 gene methylation and promote the maturation and migration of human monocyte-derived dendritic cells in vitro
Abstract Objective: To investigate the effects of Lycium barbarum polysaccharides (LBPs) on the methylation of the Suppressor of Cytokine Signalling-1 (SOCS-1) gene and the maturation and migration of human monocyte-derived dendritic cells (DCs) in vitro. Methods: Human monocyte-derived DCs were generated using recombinant human GM-CSF and interleukin-4 (IL-4) and treated with various concentrations of LBPs (50, 100, and 200 mg/L).
A Novel Cascaded Quadratic Converter for Small-Scale PV With the Zero-Current Clamping Diode
1 Introduction The automotive industry is facing significant challenges due to the depletion of fossil fuels, soaring oil prices, and high carbon emissions [1]. In this context, hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) have emerged as the most viable alternative for minimizing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainable development [2, 3]. HEV technology has gained popularity in the automotive sector due to its environmental benefits and has reduced reliance on fossil fuels [4].
Unveiling a trans -4-hydroxy-L-proline substrate binding protein in Vibrio spp.
Abstract Free trans-4-hydroxy-L-proline (T4LHyp), primarily released during the natural degradation of collagen, is absorbed and catabolised by heterotrophic bacteria, contributing to the global recycling of carbon and nitrogen. While bacterial T4LHyp catabolism is well documented, our understanding on how bacteria recognize and import T4LHyp remains limited.
