ABSTRACT Assessing the reliability of multi-layered slopes that consider soil spatial variability is challenging due to highly non-stationary responses and computationally time-consuming deterministic models. The active learning reliability method, adaptive Bayesian compressive sensing and Monte Carlo simulation (ABCS-MCS), has demonstrated effectiveness for reliability analysis in highly non-stationary systems.
