Vulvar angiomyofibroblastoma misdiagnosed as subcutaneous lipoma: a case report and literature review
Abstract Background: Angiomyofibroblastoma (AMFB) of the vulva is a rare benign mesenchymal tumor of the vulva that affects the vulva and vagina of adult women. Often mimicked by other vulvar masses such as vestibular macrocystic glands, subcutaneous lipomas, and dermoid cysts, AMFB can be detected by histopathology. Here, we present a case where AMFB was initially misdiagnosed as a subcutaneous lipoma.
Immunomodulation for stroke-associated pneumonia: a systematic review of mechanistic insight and emerging therapeutic strategies in animal models
Abstract Backgrounds and aims: Stroke-associated pneumonia (SAP) is a major infectious complication that increases mortality after stroke. Stroke-induced immunosuppression has been proposed as a key driver of SAP, supporting the rationale for immunomodulation. This review systematically outlines the immunopathology of SAP and evaluates immune-targeted strategies.
Marked and reversible circulating insulin-like growth factor-1 elevation during teprotumumab N01 treatment for thyroid eye disease with limited correspondence to glycemic changes
Abstract Background: Insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) receptor (IGF-1R) inhibitors have changed the treatment landscape for moderate-to-severe thyroid eye disease (TED), but the longitudinal behavior of circulating IGF-1 during and after therapy remains insufficiently characterized. This study aimed to describe serum IGF-1 dynamics in patients with TED treated with IGF-1R inhibitor teprotumumab N01 and to explore their relationship with glycemic changes.
