Radiographically occult bone marrow metastasis in relapsed small cell lung cancer presenting with rapidly progressive thrombocytopenia: a case report
Abstract Background: Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is an aggressive neuroendocrine malignancy that frequently relapses after initial chemoradiotherapy. Bone marrow involvement in SCLC has been reported previously, but relapse confined predominantly to the marrow may be difficult to recognize when skeletal imaging remains negative.
Long-term TSH suppression in metabolically unhealthy survivors of differentiated thyroid cancer: a cardiovascular perspective
Abstract Differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) is associated with favorable long-term survival in most patients, shifting clinical priorities from recurrence prevention alone toward survivorship care and competing cardiovascular risk. Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) suppression with levothyroxine remains biologically plausible and clinically important in selected patients with high-risk disease, biochemical incomplete response, or persistent structural disease.
