1. Introduction Given that each individual in a group must make use of the resources that are available and that these resources may be limited, individuals of the same species are forced to compete with each other in order to obtain a sufficient share of these resources. In cases where different species use the same resources, if two competing species are able to coexist in a specific variable environment, this is the result of niche differentiation [1].
