Blowflies were collected from five Australian states, namely four mainland states, New South Wales (NSW), Queensland (QLD), Victoria (VIC) and Western Australia (WA), and one island state, Tasmania (TAS) (see Table 1), and were stored in RNAlater (Thermo Fisher Scientific). Flies from five unique locations were identified as L. cuprina dorsalis, L. cuprina cuprina or L. sericata based on morphological characteristics [9, 23,24,25].
