Primary Graviceptive System and Astasia: A Case Report and Literature Review

1. Introduction Astasia refers to the inability to maintain an upright posture during standing, despite having full motor strength in four limbs [1]. There are no or minimal associated abnormalities in the neurological examination other than gait disturbance and truncal instability. Astasia is usually associated with abasia (inability to walk) in patients with central nervous diseases [2].
