Renal‐targeted exosomes inhibiting miR‐182‐5p for treatment of renal ischemia-reperfusion injury
This study revealed miR-182-5p as a key regulator of renal ischemia–reperfusion injury (IRI), whose upregulation promoted ferroptosis by inhibiting the SIRT1/Nrf2 pathway. In addition, the authors' team effectively alleviated IRI in preclinical models by developing LTH-anchored exosomes for targeted kidney delivery, achieving miR-182-5p inhibition. These findings highlight a novel therapeutic strategy and provide clinical potential for the treatment of IRI.
