A Reconciliation of Transhumanist–Christian Conflicts via Imago Dei, Theosis, and Eschatology

ABSTRACT Transhumanists critique traditional religion, yet their narrative structures and ultimate goals mimic religious concepts, seen in three claims: technology as salvation, mind uploading for immortality, and infinite evolution towards deification. In contrast, conservative theologians across Catholicism, Protestantism, and Eastern Orthodoxy maintain that salvation needs God’s grace (not technology), mind uploading distorts Imago Dei, and transhumanism’s becoming God is idolatry.
