1. Introduction Looking back on several decades of transportation infrastructure development, China heavily relied on asphalt pavement structures in the early stages of constructing its highways and urban roads. However, over time, these roads have experienced varying degrees of damage after being in service for different durations. This deterioration has led to a decline in their functionality, making them inadequate to meet the continuously increasing traffic demands.
