Key Points Question What are associated risk factors for neonatal hypothermia in the newborn nursery? Findings In this cohort study analyzing 321 060 temperature values from 23 549 infants, moderate/severe (persistent, recurrent, and/or temperature <36.0 °C) hypothermia occurred in 4.6% of infants. Lower gestational age (≤37 weeks’ gestation), birth weight less than 3000 g, and Black and Asian maternal race and ethnicity had the highest adjusted odds of hypothermia.
