Transcriptomic analysis reveals that BVDV alters immune and metabolic responses to Brucella abortus A19 in RAW264.7 macrophages
Abstract Background: The co-occurrence of bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) infection and brucellosis in cattle is common. However, the effect of BVDV-induced immunosuppression on the efficacy of the Brucella abortus (B. abortus) A19 vaccine remains unclear. We hypothesized that BVDV infection suppresses the host immune response to the B. abortus A19 vaccine by dysregulating key immune-related genes, thereby potentially affecting vaccine immunoprotection.
