Abstract : The Liaohe Group, which is a significant lithostratigraphic unit within the Paleoproterozoic Jiao-Liao-Ji Belt situated between the Longgang and Liaonan-Nangrim blocks, comprises the Langzishan, Li’eryu, Gaojiayu, Dashiqiao, and Gaixian formations, which are characterized mainly by a clastic-rich sequence with an interlayered bimodal-volcanic sequence, carbonate-rich sequence, and (meta-)pelite-rich sequence.
