During cancer metastasis, tumor cells undergo metabolic reprogramming to adapt to the new microenvironment, supporting their rapid proliferation and survival. This reprogramming includes the upregulation of glycolytic pathways, known as the Warburg effe ct, and alterations in lipid metabolism that modify membrane structure and signaling molecules, thereby enhancing the cell’s invasiveness and metastatic potential [491].
