Differentiating interfacial water structures via alkali metal cation promotor for H 2 O 2 electrosynthesis in acid
Abstract Electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) for H2O2 production represents a sustainable alternative route to the energy-intensive anthraquinone process. Nevertheless, under industrially-relevant acidic conditions, excessive protons at the reaction interface exacerbate low H2O2 selectivity and severe H2O2 reduction. Herein, we propose a universal alkali metal cation (AMC: Li+, Na+, K+, or Cs+) dosing strategy to markedly boost the acidic H2O2 electrosynthesis.
532-nm-modulated pulse generation based on a time-delay loop and polarization rotation
Abstract A simple and low-cost scheme of generating 532 nm modulated pulses is investigated both theoretically and experimentally. The modulator is an external cavity based on a temporal delay loop and polarization rotation that is realized by two half-wave plates. Propagating in the temporal delay loop multiple times and being outputted partially after each round trip, the intensity of the initial green laser pulse is modulated.
