Abstract Gentiana crassicaulis is a significant traditional medicinal plant in China. Currently, seed reproduction is the predominant method for large-scale seedling cultivation. However, the seeds of Gentiana are typically susceptible to aging and deterioration, which severely impacts seedling production and germplasm preservation. Research on the seed aging process of G. crassicaulis is still relatively limited, particularly in terms of systematic multi-omics data support.
