A telomere-to-telomere genome assembly of the fast-flowering mini-maize inbred line TX-40J
Abstract Flowering time and plant height are important target traits in maize genetic improvement. However, high-quality reference genomes for fast-flowering, short-cycle maize germplasms remain limited. Here, we integrated PacBio HiFi, Oxford Nanopore ultra-long reads, Hi-C, and Illumina short-read sequencing data to assemble a telomere-to-telomere (T2T) genome for the fast-flowering maize inbred line TX-40J.
