Joint association of estimated glucose disposal rate and a body shape index with stroke incidence
Abstract Both estimated glucose disposal rate (eGDR) and a body shape index (ABSI) are closely associated with the incidence of stroke. However, they are rarely used in combination. The aim of this study is to investigate the potential association between the combined use of eGDR and ABSI and the development of stroke. This study utilized data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS), including a total of 8,719 participants.
Disruption of the SNRPF–DDX24–E2F4 Feedback Loop Uncouples Splicing and Transcriptional Regulation to Suppress Ovarian Cancer Progression
1 Introduction Ovarian cancer (OC) is a major gynecological malignancy, ranking eighth worldwide in both incidence and mortality among women [1]. In the United States, projections for 2025 estimate nearly 20 890 new diagnoses and 12 730 fatalities due to OC [2]. The most predominant subtype, epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC), accounts for nearly 90% of all diagnosed cases, with high-grade serous carcinoma (HGSOC) accounting for 70–80% of these cases.
SNRPD2–CPSF7–UBE2K axis drives ovarian cancer progression via alternative splicing–polyadenylation crosstalk
Abstract Aberrant alternative polyadenylation (APA) and alternative splicing (AS) contribute to numerous diseases, including cancer; however, their coordinated roles in ovarian cancer remain poorly understood. Here, we investigated CPSF7, an APA factor markedly upregulated in ovarian cancer and associated with poor prognosis.
