Endothelial cells (ECs) contribute to post-MI remodeling through angiogenesis, inflammation, and endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndMT). ADAM17, a membrane-bound protease, is upregulated in ischemic heart disease, but its role in endothelial function post-MI is unknown.
