1. Introduction Accurate and prompt marine weather forecasting guarantees the safety of ships sailing at sea. Nowadays, there are two major types of marine weather forecasts: weather charts and digital weather model products. Weather charts have a long history and extensive use in shipping and various other industries. As per the International Maritime Organization’s regulations, ocean-going vessels are obligated to install ship meteorological fax machines to receive weather charts [1].

2. Related Work 2.1. Object Detection Algorithms With the rapid application and expansion of deep learning in computer vision, related target detection methods have gradually replaced the traditional handcrafted feature design and become a research hotspot in various industries. The early target detection algorithms relied heavily on manual feature extraction, traversed the image through sliding windows and finally determined the target class by classifiers.
