1 Introduction Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a significant global health problem, affecting approximately 296 million people worldwide. HBVinfection can lead to liver-related diseases andvarious extrahepatic complications, such as HBV-associated nephritis. HBV can also cause neurological diseases; however, its pathophysiology remains unknown (1). About 1% of GBS cases have been found to be associated with acute hepatitis (A, B, C, D, and E) (2).
